This should be interesting. We could get a bunch of recipes and create a "Play Hay Day Cookbook"!

I am a freelance food writer. Very tempted to write a hayday cook book. Although some of their recipes are off.

Spain is a very Catholic country (even they don't want to admit it) and here when a Bride is going to get married is normal to go to a Nunnery to give a dozen of eggs. The nuns will bake a cake for you that will avoid (supposedly)that rains on that day...
My neighbour Gabe me the recipe...and it takes a week to do the dough!! So currently I'm working on that.. Started last Thursday and will only be on the oven on Saturday!!!
Will show you the results if they are ok!

We had a typical Dutch winter dinner yesterday, 'stamppot boerenkool' . Found a picture here, patrickduis.blogspot.nl/2006/11/boerenkool-met-worst.html (on the page, tab on picture to enlarge) In English, farmers cabbage? LOL, I don't think you ever ate that in the US, Canada, Hong Kong or Spain! In the UK, I'm not sure...

That sounds lovely Karen! This morning, we had Staffordshire oatcakes. Not the biscuit type oatcakes, these ones are only sold in the potteries region of the uk. They are traditionally filled with cheese or any other English breakfast (fry up) filling. I just love them with bacon and cheese Yummy!

Yummie, I love a bacon and cheese breakfast. Are these oatcakes soft, like pancakes?

Yes Karen, very. They are thinner than pancakes and taste absolutely nothing like them, they are the most common breakfast here in Staffordshire. We always miss them when we go on our holidays.

Hmm, I'd really like to try them! Are they easy to make? Do you have a recipe?

I love junk food, and today I made hamburger for lunch. The most delicious hamburgers I've ever eat so far. On top It has tomato, onion, boiled egg, boiled beet root (not sure if that's the name for Remolacha), avocado, and on the side cole slaw salad. Off course lots of black pepper and a little bit o mayo an mustard. It was supper good. Add al those veggies to make it healthier.
