I thought I'd like Minecraft because of the building aspect.... but I just didn't like it. Every time I started a game I played for like 15 minutes, got stuck in some earthy hole, got annoyed and quit lol.
I did love the Sims. Unfortunately my laptop gets overheated fast, but when it was still working well I had all Sims 3 games + expansions. Before that I also played The Sims deluxe and The Sims 2. As soon as I get a new laptop (won't be in the near future) I will install the game again, I love it!

Anyone else plays 2048? Pretty addicting! Still haven't reached that magical 2048.... Topscore is somewhere in the 16,000's

I just downloaded 2048. From the description, it sounds like a game I would like. I don't need another game addiction, but I'm going to give it a try. Then I'll blame you, Chantal, if I can't put it down.

Because of the stagnant development of Hay Day, I thought this would be a good thread to bump.
I've stopped playing my main farm. There's just nothing new and no challenge at this point. Combine that with the scarcity of players to help (something that was always top of the list for enjoyment), and I'm pretty blah about the game. My feeder farm is only level 61 so still has some new stuff it can get. I'm just hoping that something spurs me to go back to my main farm at some point.
So, what are people playing?
My list is short.
1. DragonVale. I really like this game but it isn't something you can always find something to do.
2. Temple Run 2. This was the first game I ever installed on my first iPad. The development of the game has always made me come back to it at some point. Plus I am pretty good at being ranked #1 in just about every category by a long shot compared to all the other TR2 players on my GC list. Notable here is that the developer, Imangi, had no problems adapting their game to the new GC changes in iOS10. I can view other players on my friends list, see their achievements, etc. This though while the game has daily and weekly challenges, along with global challenges now, again isn't something you want to do over and over all day.
3. Tropic Escape. I loved this game when I started it. It was intuitive. It combined aspects from Farmville2 and Hay Day and drastically improved them. In fact at the lower levels it felt like they had to be reading in the SC forums and taking notes of what players wanted... I then ran into some problems with the game not willing to connect to GC or FB. I emailed support and got a simplistic answer of "disconnect, restart and try again". I responded saying that was already done and that I would uninstall and just try again at a later date when the bugs had been ironed out. I have to admit my response was mostly driven by my mind just assuming that their support was as pathetic as SC's. that's why I was stunned last week to get a follow up email APOLOGIZING it had taken them this long but could I please reinstall and see if they had fixed the error on my "island". They really had too... So I started playing it again but tbh I find I am stuck. There are so many different expansion materials and it's like there's no rhyme or reason. Because I can't figure out what I need to concentrate on saving, plus the lack of a DD of the same scope, I don't sell what I have, can't find what I need, and constantly have a boat shed full message. I still like the game though.
4. Gardenscapes. This game looked awesome in the preview I saw. And I do still play it on occasion.
5. Seekers Notes. I really like this game. It requires remembering some artifacts and finding them again in certain rooms to get new rewards for achievements to solve the puzzle.
6. Hidden City. A similar game to the above but on a larger scale. I play it probably every other day.
7. The Tribez. Another game I found through watching the previews in Tropic Escape. It is like a more primitive Hay Day, but is challenging.
8. The Room (and sequels). A game similar to #5. The graphics are phenomenal. You have to solve puzzles, find codes, unlock items. It holds my attention and is always enough to make me really want the next sequel as soon as I've solved it.
9. World Chef. I've just about stopped playing this. I need to get to a new level to unlock some items but it really seems like I will have to spend real money to do so. And tbh that's not something I want to do. I'll support games by buying diamonds or whatever, but I feel strongly that a game should be playable without having to do so.
10. Jigsaw Puzzle. I've always loved jigsaw puzzles and this game has some fantastic ones. There are an enormous number of beautiful ones you can pay for, but every day they give you a free one in various difficulties. I'll play this now when in the past I would have gone and scattered a new puzzle over my dining room table.
I'll also add a game I've pondered getting for a while now: Carcasonne. This game isn't free (I think $9.99) but the reviews are excellent. I know at least 3 people who have quit Hay Day to start this. Sadly I have no way of asking them if it was worth the $10. Nor have I ever played the board game version so am not sure if it is a game I'll like.

This thread has a lot of games that sound good mentioned. I might try some of them soon. 😊
I did not play any other games other than Hay Day and Words With Friends for years. In fact, it was that way up until recently. I was a very dedicated farmer, spending hours each day tending the farm. It was the sole reason I own an iPad. I am a bit sad to say that now it is becoming common for an entire day to pass without me even looking at my main farm. I have added Dragonvale and FarmVille Tropic Escape to the mix. Dragonvale is my favorite of the two but just doesn't have the same level of things to do like Hay Day does. I am enjoying FarmVille but it still just isn't quite a replacement for Hay Day for me either.
I still have hopes that Hay Day will change course and will continue to be what I consider my main game. The vibe has just changed so much that I am finding it harder and harder to enjoy it like I did before.
